About Ramen Haus

Ramen Haus is a small business owned by Megan and Weston Lay. We're a half-Japanese family of 4 that loves both Japanese and American culture. We have two awesome kids that love helping our amazing team and loyal customers.

Our team embraces the Japanese comfort food tradition. We all LOVE our food and work hard to make our food the best quality Japanese food in Utah. Quality Ramen is our connection to Japan and each other and it's our mission to share this amazing dish with you!

The Beginning

We took over Ramen Haus in Ogden in March of 2020 at the peak of the pandemic. We quickly realized we were in over our heads, but we dove in, pivoted the business, and focused on helping the community. We got online, started to-gos, and developed our team in the midst of chaos. With our awesome team we were able to survive the pandemic and continue serving our community amazing Japanese food.

The Future

Every year we continue to improve our quality and strengthen our team. We continue to develop new recipes and new Japanese tastes that our customers will love. We improve our processes, cooking, and service skills to share our quality food with more people. We will continue to improve our quality, be consistent and provide a great experience to grow to become Utah's Best Authentic Japanese Ramen.

Love the food tried multiple things and it’s all so good. My husband's keeps ordering ramen on DoorDash and I’ve been disappointed every time. We haven’t tried this one till recently and I love it! Exactly what i pictured good ramen actually tasting like.

I have been to Japan 3 times and this place is the closest in terms of taste and quality. The ramen was awesome.

Ramen Haus is the best of the best in Farmington. It’s safe for anyone with dietary needs or allergies thanks to their, frankly, crazy amounts of substitution, add on and removal options. I order online a lot and their “meat, noodles, and broth only” button is a life saver with my food sensitives. And every time I’ve been there to pick it up, the employees have always been so sweet. Not only is it good fresh, but I recently had left overs and when stored and reheated properly, it retains its flavor and texture amazingly, which isn’t something that happens a lot with reheating ramen. Don’t get me started on how much I love the texture of their noodles. Overall, this is my top safe food place! 10000/10

Frequently Asked Questions:

The Umami Bomb Ramen is by far the most popular menu item! The Umami Bomb Ramen started off as one of our Special Menu items back in 2021 and because of it's massive success we officially put it on the menu and our amazing customers have been ordering it as the top item ever since!

The Tonkotsu Ramen is a great first ramen! In Japan, Tonkotsu Ramen is one of the most popular and most basic ramens. It consists of a Healthy Pork Bone Broth and Pork Chashu Slices. If you have never tried Japanese Ramen before, a good creamy Tonkotsu Ramen is definitely a good first ramen to try since you will see this ramen at almost every other Japanese Ramen shop.

Yes you can order Ramen take-out. Although you can definitely order Ramen as take-out, we don't necessarily recommend it. The best ramen experience is when the broth comes out boiling hot and the toppings have had a chance to warm through. When you order ramen to-go, we ensure that the broth is separated from the noodles and toppings so that you can combine them at a time appropriate for you to eat. If noodles sit in hot broth for too long they get really soggy and no one wants to eat soggy noodles!

Directly through our website or over the phone! When customers order our food through Doordash or other 3rd party applications, they usually take up to 30% of the revenue that supports our small business. When you order over the phone and pick up your order, or when you use the button on our website "Order Online", it ensures you are supporting our small business and the order is sent directly to our kitchen for you!
